Rumours that Mick Jagger is collaborating with David Bowie on a new rock and roll comedy film have been described as “piffle” by Bowie.
It was reported over the weekend that the two rock stars were getting ready to audition actors for the film that they have been collaborating on for the last fifteen years. Bowie has been quick to come back at the rumours, dismissing them as just tabloid stories.
A statement posted on Bowie’s website said, “David Bowie summed up the notion that he is , or has been, working with Mick Jagger on a film script for an upcoming comedy with this well chosen word. ‘Piffle’.”
Well, if you’re going to quash a rumour, then that’s certainly the way to do it. Piffle. Remember it and use it. If it’s good enough for Bowie, then it’s good enough for the common man.
